Updating From 1.13 To 4.03.03

When updating multiman on a 3.55 KMEAW system is there anything special i must do to upgrade from 1.12 to the new 4.03.03??  Will it even work??? I have heard of others having issues with doing the multiman upgrade period and trying to avoid issues.
