The thing I like about nintendo is that they dare to be different, they stick out from the rest and with the low price tag it's not a huge venture to try it out.

With it's confirmed specs, it better not cost more then $200......and more like $150.  At $250 it is only $50 less then the 360 core system, but with a lot less horsepower inside.  At that price they are definently not losing money on the console, and probably making money.

But it's still half the price of a PS3 core and combined with an Xbox 360 premium it's only 50 dollars more than a PS3 premium to get both.

Still, cheaper is always nicer and I wouldn't mind if they cut off 50 bucks. I predict the final price to be in the 229 range.

With a game would be doable.  But paying $200+ dollars for hardware that is almost equivelent to the xbox1 is rediculous.  Especially since the xbox 1 will be $100 dollars here shortly.

I love my Gamecube and the Wii looks like lots of fun. My biggest problem with the Gamecube was that I didn't buy one sooner (just got it last year), I'm not going to make that mistake with the Wii...

call me crazy but im more thrilled to get the new Wii than the Ps3 lol, i think its because i know i wont be able to afford the Ps3 anytime soon

I'm more thrilled about the Wii myself...

it has mostly to do with the fact that the PS3 isn't really offering me anything new... we're getting the same tired franchises that I didn't like when they showed up last time on the PS2 (as can be seen by what they've shown so far) but now they cost more... NONE of the titles they've shown have really interested me and the fact that they didn't make any comfort improvements to their woefully outdated controller plus the exorbitant price point really puts me off.

Nintendo has the new controller which opens the door to new game franchises (as can be seen by the games they've shown so far), plus the whole Virtual console looks to bring the whole homebrew scene mainstream which will be really cool. Plus it's price point is low enough that I can get in on it without worrying if I'll actually like it or not.

Depending on when exactly it's being released, don't think that's been confirmed, Wii might be the first system I buy in the same week of its release. PS3 has absolutely no chance of getting me to do that nor did the Xbox 360. I did get a N64 pretty close to release time only to sell it and buy it again after more games came out for it.
