All is good in my computer room once again. Got my SSD and OS today and did a clean install. All 4 cores are detected as well as all of my RAM.  Speedfan is reading the core temp to be ~35c. Works pretty well, just need to re-install some things and I'm set.

What are you going to do with 16 gigs of ram?  You will never ever use that (at least not within the next 4 years) in gaming.  And you said you will never use teh 6 cores? Then you dont need the 16 gigs of ram.  I mean even 8 gigs of ram is alot.  You should have saved yourself the money and bought your two video cards.

Regardless, props to you for being able to afford that, even though much of it is overkill.

Who knows? I'm probably just gonna go for 8 eventually. About half of my wages over the last 6 months have went into this though. Roughly $1500 including accessories (Mouse, speakers, monitor, etc.) I actually have my second monitor coming as I speak. 24" @1080p should look nice.
