From gamesindustry.biz: FIFA producer Tim Tschirner has said that he believes the Nintendo Wii matches up to the first Xbox in terms of power. "It's about as powerful as the original Xbox," he said. "The video hardware unfortunately is not as powerful. There's just a couple of key things that you can do on Xbox like shaders which you just cannot do on the Wii... Don't they know that the xbox 1 is pratically obsolete except for its modded/homebrew functions...hilarious.

I've played like 6 different games on the wii so far, the graphics look like N64/Gamecube at the best. I don't know why this thing is selling, most of the games aren't fun unless you have 2-3 people to play with you... And the wii-mote is a gimick already <insert obligatory 2 page rant here>.

I thought Wii was an overclocked gamecube?

Still I like some of the features of it. They need to lower the price with these statements

The Wii sells because its simply fun. I wouldnt recommend it as your main console, but it is a very fun console and a great party console. Another reason is that it has a great price. Comparing Wii to xbox180 is just wrong since xbox180 never had the control system the Wii has. Xbox 360 is my favorite but i cant say that i dont like the Wii because the graphics remind me of xbox180 or any other console.

I seriously doubt we'll ever see a wii-emu on the 360 or ps3. First off we should get it on the PC, which may never happen. I still don't get it why there hasn't been any more work on an xbox1-emu, as they should be more simple to program than most other fairly late consoles, given it's so similar to a PC. But I mat be way off, but we once did have two emus that seemed to make fast progress, but both died

This Wii vs. Xbox comparison has been made many times before. Even Robbie Bach of Microsoft has made it.
