Cyber Power Inc

i've looked at them (along with ibuypower, which is incrediably similar) and they look good with great prices,  but from what i've read they're customer service is slow and poor, but it still gets the job done (remember when reading online reviews, that people are more inclined to write a negative one that positive). So if you have computer experience and don't minc slow tech support you my as well... from what i've read ibuypower.com is better reviewed (if they are in fact not the same, they have different adresses but you never know). I think i'll get my laptop from them

PS: about my laptop i was gonna get that one i listed in the other post, but my dad didnt want me buying it now so i canceled it.

Since we're all posting links from reseller ratings like that has to do with anything
Here goes:

Velocity Micro (Platinum + Gold rating) (9.00)
http://www.resellerr...seller1867.html

Nutrend (Gold rating) (8.10)
http://www.resellerr...seller1497.html

Alienware (7.93)
http://www.resellerr...seller1650.html

Dell (4.65)
http://www.resellerr...seller1867.html

Gateway (rating 2.28)
http://www.resellerr...seller2053.html

CyberPower (6.85)

IBUYPOWER (7.95)

Newegg (9.72)*****However there is a disadvantage because Newegg doesnt build computers or customize them (to my knowledge)

Oh and by the way...CUSTMIZING A PC TAKES TIME FOR THESE LARGE COMPANIES....SO DONT COMPLAIN WHEN IT TAKES UP TO 2 MONTHS TO GET YOUR COMPUTER!  Delays happen to EVERY company at some point.  Deal with it!  Thats the real world.

Call the companies before you order and ask for an eta, but be realistic that delays do happen either by them, the manufacturer, the shipper....u see where I'm going with this.

QUOTE (DJBomB @ Oct 29 2004, 08:34 AM)
4. As for as service goes:  the individual parts all have warranties....you can go through CyberPower or call the manufacturer directly for an RMA.  Thats all vendors do people!!!  If u'r graphics card fails within its manufac. warranty Dell calls ATI or Nvidia.  So does BestBuy..and so on

The difference is that the big companies have the ability to take one of their in stock cards and give you a new one as soon as they look it over. If they don't have the card 99% of the time you get a store credit. With the smaller stores you have to wait much longer because they don't keep items stocked and they also tend to RMA it to ATi or Nvida instead of ordering a new card in addition to the RMA process thus decreasing the customers wait dramatically.

LOL did you read the reviews on reseller ratings for Gateway? 99% of them are from complete idiots that preordered a X800 XT after reading the disclaimer that states "The card is not in stock and will ship once it arrives" yet they bitch and complain when it does not come 1 week after they ordered it. Just when I forget how stupid some people can be I get reminded of their stupidity.
