i have two hdd's in my computer, on is an 80 gig(C drive) and the other is a 10 gig(D drive). Everything is installed on c drive right now, the 10 gig is untouched. If i were to switch windows over to D drive would i notice a large change in the speed of my pc? if so whats the best way to move windows from C to D. Thanks for reading.

If both drives are the same rpm, then no difference.

Easy (and kinda ghetto) way is to remove the 80GB drive and put the 10GB drive as a solo/master on the chain and install windows. After the base installation is done, put the 80GB drive back on as a slave. FYI, another time-saving tip is to download drivers onto the 80GB before removing it, so when you reattach it you have the drivers there to reinstall. From there, I guess you could just delete the Windows (or WinNT) folder. Crap from the OS will still be floating around on the drive until it's tidied up with a format (at your leisure).

If one is a 10 gig there unlikely to be the same rpm.

Tool you need is norton ghost.

Yeah, As much as I didn't want to try norton ghost before, its actually a cool nice program. I've had to rebuild a company's network and all thier computers last week and norton Ghost would deffinitally same you some time and a couple hours in stress as well.
