I had worked out with Rod Beck a handful of times when I lived in AZ. He never was in too big of a hurry to answer questions for us younger guys. He loved giving advice and he was always happy. That is only the little bit I saw of him though. As a closer myself, he is someone I looked up to.

They article says they may not know the cause of death for a little while. Although he was a professional baseball player, he did not have the body of a 38 year old man. You could tell he definitely led a fast life.

He probably wouldn't remember my name, but he seemed like a really good guy, at least from the little I knew him.
