Don't worry, there won't be a draft.  Most other republicans and democrats will reject his idea.  The only reason why Rangel would brought it up is that Bush have no plan for winning the peace in Iraq.

The reason he said that was not because there is no plan because there clearly is. The people who puggy wants to lead are the ones that have no plan.

 

He stated why he said this very clearly. He said that anyone that is for the war should be for the draft and to be for the war but against the draft is hypocritical. It was simply another stab at this administration. The bottom line is, we all know plenty of reservists. We all know there are plenty of people in our country who are volunteers that have signed up and got money for school and various other incentives. Those are the people who are fighting and rightfully so. There are plenty. Remember, only 3000 have died in the war. Out of the millions in our armed forces, that is hardly enough to reinstate the draft. This is simply the liberal spin wagon trying to stir up emotions and garner support for THEIR war against the Republicans.

CNN has an article talking about the top marine general stating the obvious.  We simply don't have enough troops.  Either pull out of Iraq or get more troops.
