Rick James was found dead by his care taker, allegedly of natural causes.

Drudge has it up, and it's breaking news headline on CNN.

Yup.  Just got the news alert from msnbc...  Too sad because he was just coming back through Dave Chappelle.  Guess there won't be a movie now.
