50 Cent is a pile of shit too. Jay-Z is embarassing. Just because his shit went gold/platinum doesn't mean he's talented, it means his label knows how to market. Just like mainstream rock music like linkin park, mudvayne, whatever, it's all bullshit. I personally know musicians better than the people who are in some of those mainstream bands, but are their garage bands going platinum? Naw. But that doesn't mean they don't have talent. It's the same with today's mainstream rap. All this talk about G-Unit, Jay-Z, whatever has NOTHING on 80's and early 90's rap, where the rappers were actually REAL and had some talent. If you want talent in todays rap and not just hoes, bling, and drugs over and over and over with every song and every faggot that comes in trying to claim themselves a new original rapper you're going to have to look hard. There are many underground rappers who would tear Jay-Z to shreads. A lot of the mainstream and semi-mainstream could too, for that matter. Jada would eat Jay-Z alive. But it's all just marketing and image, man. Look past all the shit they're trying to throw at you and see that without the big names and the bling and the mtv videos, that Jay-Z and the rest of the idiots just plain suck.
