Recording Vinyl Question
« on: January 18, 2005, 08:10:00 PM »

I have been doing alot of research around here on recording vinyl to the hard drive and I haven't read about much emphises on the quality of the receiver used for connecting the turntable to the sound card(I'm not going to get a pre amp so I can save some cash). I have an inexpensive new KLH reciever at my house that I could use or I could take my whole computer system to my grandma's house and set it up there, where she has an awsome expensive Mitsubishi amplifier(it's about 10 years old but it has an increadble awsome sound that I love). But takeing my computer over there and setting it up would be a big pain in the but (there's no way I could bring the Mitsubishi amp to my house). Would there be a big difference in the quality of my WAV's recorded from vinyl between the Mitsubishi and the KLH?

Thanks,

Dman
