Just because music is complex doesnt mean everybody is going to or should like it. By this logic since Rush is *ahem* complex I'm wrong in not liking it? By this theory everyone should like all Jazz and classical. I do like some jazz and classical, but it's not by any means my favorite. In fact some of my favorite music doesnt involve more than 3 chords.
Good music is art that speaks from the heart and it touches everyone different. For me Rush (no offence) doesnt even tickle my ball sack. But thats just me. If other people dont like it who funckin cares? As long as you do!
Dont get offended because someone doesnt like what you like. Ive had friends like this who would get upset because you didnt like what they liked. Who cares? Like what you like. I like stuff my friends make fun of me for and it doesnt bother me.
But my suggestion is always dont limit yourself to commercial radio. Theres so much more music out there you may find you like, but you have to look. I think its ridiculous to argue over what music is good and whats not. I do however believe most people havent been subjected to good music because of commercial mainstream radio, MTV, RIAA BS
