HDTV and HD ready are different.  You will need to get HD ready.

Well if you want bang for your buck, I'd get a DLP Projection tv.  Its HD.  Its affordable.  It doesn't have the downfalls of either plasma or LCD.  Excellent picture quality.  I have a Toshiba 62' and its amazing.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, HD Ready means that the TV does not have a high-definition tuner built in.  You will want a HDTV with a ATSC tuner, which most of the newer sets have.  There are some very good prices on the 32 and 37 inch Syntax Olevia, models 532H and 537H respectively.

Thanks for the heads up...

My mate got a HDTV and it does not accept any external HD devices such as the 360.

blink.gif  That doesn't make much sense....are you sure he's using it correctly?

That's like saying "I can't plug my dvd player into my tv."

Sorry dude, I meant to say he can play with his 360 and any other device put it does not output in HD.  Only the TV outputs in HD.

I'll speak to him next week and post his TV up just incase he is missing something.

I had a long chat with him (lives 300 miles away) and he does infact have a DVI socket.  The problem he has now is waiting for MS to return his console after recieving the red light of death.
