3:10 To Yuma-IMDB

Third time I've seen it, this time on the Blu-ray disk. Love those westerns and this is a good one. Highly recommended.

Into The Wild  excellent movie, based on a true story. Makes you really think.

Fracture one of the better mysteries I have seen in a while.

Doomsday-IMDB

QUOTE
Right away, "Doomsday" removes itself from other post-apocalyptic movies by not focusing on the catastrophe itself and instead just focuses on humanity's attempt to move forward. "Doomsday" is about anarchy, and the downfall of society: What happens when you just leave a country to wither and die in the face of disaster?

I recommend it.

If you like music and want a little bit of your perception of music changed, this is a great movie. Made me feel better about the universe.

August Rush-IMDB

QUOTE
This is a fantastic movie. Well done. During our screening at a particularly tough part for the title character, I heard people in the theater say "No, no..." The level of "buy in" and suspension of disbelief is high.

Even the dissonance of Wizard and Lila's father was handled superbly. Robin Williams hit just the right note in his portrayal of Wizard. The actors playing Agust Rush/Evan Taylor and his mother and father were amazingly well cast.

This is truly a symphony of a film. You'll enjoy it, your children will enjoy it, and you will walk out of the theater knowing that, for once, your ticket money was well spent.

eh, both the writing and the acting left much to be desired by me... not terrible, but just basically a poor mans Training Day...

Before The Devil Knows You're Dead

Another excellent movie.

QUOTE
Paying tribute to fellow veteran director Stanley Donen, Sidney Lumet expertly and soberly turns the sombre story into an outstanding, old school character drama. The opening shots, although of an obese accountant doggy-styling his trophy wife, have the look and feel of a Dutch master's painting. By contrast, the drug dealer's condo looks more like a string of Mondrians. Great performances all around.

Oh, and it has Marisa Tomei topless. I have been in love with her since "My Cousin Vinny". She has the body to go with her mind.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)
