what it seems like to me is, the pwrok line is not sending a strong enough signal for it to turn on, it just sits in standby mode maybe waiting for a pwrok signal. Thats my guess at least, didn't someone say something about shorting out pwrok or pwron? it was in another thread of urs i think.

ok looks like i was wiring something wrong, i had the orange wires coming from the xbox as 3.3v when they should have been wired as 5v. This fixed the problem and i would like to thank you for helping me make this circuit. I have been running the xbox for about 1 hour and its perfectly stable. I am actually using a 1k resistor instead of the 4.7, will this do any harm or should i just leave it as it is?

i found my needed resistors. but the npn transistors... umm. well
i found NPN silicon bipolar transistors.

but theres a bunch of em id otn knwo which i need :S

www.digikey.com if someone could maybe even snag me a part number for something that would work as Q1

please. thanks biggrin.gif

the resistors you need are the ones you would use for leds(just higher values) and you should be able to get the npn from radioshack or equivelant.

sorry bout not responding earlier but im stilll having comp troubles

i wasnt sure which way to face them though so im hoping i got it right

resistors have no polarity (either way)

cheep resistors are fine (carbon film)
just make sure the 22 ohm is 1 watt or higher

at http://www.paradoxblue.ca
check over your circuit diagram, the xbox side orange 5VSB should got to the power supply 5VSB (purple ?)
