Cheap Way To Upgrade Your Dvds To Blu Ray
« on: May 08, 2010, 08:31:00 AM »

I caught this promotion the other day and thought there might be some interested people here:
Warner Bros is doing a promotion where you can send them your DVDs (just the disc) plus ~$5 per disc and they'll send you back the Blu-Ray version (complete with case and manual).

Check it out here: http://www.dvd2blu.com/

they allowed up to 25 DVDs from this list:
Journey to the Center of the Earth
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
L.A. Confidential
Last Samurai
Lost Boys
The Mask
Michael Clayton
Million Dollar Baby
Music and Lyrics
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Ocean's Eleven
Ocean's Thirteen
The Orphanage
Pan's Labyrinth
The Perfect Storm
Pride and Glory
The Reaping
Rio Bravo
Risky Business
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves Extended Cut
Rumor Has it
Rush Hour 3
A Scanner Darkly
The Searchers
The Shining
Shoot 'Em Up
Speed Racer
Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut
Superman Returns
Swordfish
Syriana
Taking Lives
Tango & Cash
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
The Departed
Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
Training Day
Troy
True Romance
Under Siege
Under Siege 2: Dark Territory
V for Vendetta
We Are Marshall
Wedding Crashers
The Wedding Singer
The Wild Bunch
Wyatt Earp

If you've got the special edition of whatever is listed, they'll accept that too.

I personally found 14 DVDs in my collection that are eligible, I plan on hitting up the Walmart bargain bin and the Gamestop used DVD rack to see if I can find some cheap DVDs that are also eligible.

great way to build up your blu-Ray collection.

Though its a good move on their part, but personally I think when you bought the movie, you bought the whole movie, not just a specific amount of pixels of the movie. $5 just for the disc and packaging isn't bad I suppose
