About 3 days ago I was served with about 25 papers from a lawyer representing Activision Publishing. According to them I have illegally copied and distributed their games and I have 20 days to respond to the complaint or I will be possibly held guilty on all counts which would basically be a judgement against me in the amount the judge sets. Before everyone makes a huge thread out of me being a pirate please stick to the legal advice. The complaint is out of California and I am in N Carolina and according to them they have jurisdiction over me but someone already told me thats something they are gonna say no matter what. What are the chances of the judgement if I ignore this complaint?

Any chance this is a scam trying to fish out possible pirates?? I'd say lawyer up.

NO man what he was saying that the people that served you might just be fishing not him. I would take it to a lawyer to get it tracked and make sure they are legit. Talk to someone though dont admit nothing.
