Has anyone ever used paypal to fake CC purchases, just to get reward points? My line of thinking is, send $500 to the wife, using CC. Wife transfers the $500 to our joint checking account, pay $500 to the CC company online, bam - $500 worth of reward points in a week without actually spending anything. I don't use paypal too much, so maybe I'm missing fees somewhere. Thoughts?

Your wife would not receive the full $500. Paypal would rape you with their money-sending charges.

I know Google Checkout doesnt have fees on transfers till 2008

There's a way of bypassing the fees..

Google checkout lets you send money to other users, and not just merchants?

Yup, I just purchased something from someone on X-S using google checkout

The only thing different about checkout is the person recieving the money has to send a request to the person sending the money. And the person thats wanting to send the money will accept the request
