Starting To Warm Up Here
« on: July 05, 2007, 06:16:00 PM »

Wife called to tell me power went out at the apartment.
I told her to pack up the kid and a few bucks and head to wally world and pretend to be shopping for a few hours.  smile.gif

I have a feeling we're gonna have fried hamster for dinner since she can't take him with her to wally world.  sad.gif
Told her to put him close to the ground and give him a bowl of water.

Here's our local forecast:

Today's high ended up being 112. Currently 108 and power still out at our apartment.
Sounds like over 13,000 residents here are without power and there's no estimate of when it'll be back online.

I'm at work at the moment, but once I get out, I'm gonna buy some ice.  smile.gif

its like friggin seattle here in texas, it has rained almost every day terrentially for a month it seems. last year the resevoirs were dangerosly low. This year they are shutting roads down becasue the water so high its cresting over the bridges, which never happens.  send some of that sun over here biggrin.gif

Wow, I thought it was hot where I live! At least our night temperatures aren't too bad, though. wink.gif

It's been really dry here because of almost no rainfall, and because of that, there were a lot of large fires that started in the foothills yesterday and made the whole city smoky. The cause is not known, but I'm guessing that it was fireworks. happy.gif

It has rained here for the last 5 weeks. Loads of villages under water. Situation is serious.

I live near Syracuse, NY and the heat hasn't been bad here.  Some humid days in the 90's.  What the big problem is the rain, or lack thereof I should say.  The grass everywhere is getting burnt bad.
