So, I'm just curious when
desactivate became a word. And if it was a word already, does it mean something other than
deactivate?

www.dictionary.com it doesn't exist.
I first saw it on Splinter Cell 2 I believe (when someone would 'desactivate' your spy trap), and now I see it used in the NeoDashX news listed on the front page of X-S.
