Thanks Alot

Hey everyone I know this is really pointless but I
just wanted to encourage everyone to thank those
members of XS that have helped & guided you
through the whole modding process. I flashed my
ST tsop a little over a week ago and to be honest
while the tutorials are great, i would not have been
able to do it without the help of a few of the XS members,
so i say thanks for everything.

BTW Let me point out i tried using the Rear Window Defogger
Repair Kit. Didnt work.

Use Solder, if you dont know how get a practice chip and practice
for 5-10 minutes, till you build up the nerve to solder it. I didnt
know how to solder going in to this. So i went to my local radio
shack and bought a 15watt soldering iron for 5 bucks... 5 BUX,
and a $2 solder roll, hell the RWDRK was 9. But I was really scared
to solder but i messed around on a dead ps2 mobo and 5 minutes
later i was soldered and ready to flash. I swear on my life the solder
is a helluva lot more convenient in the long run.

But any way thats just me throwing in my 2 cents.  Thanks again All.
especially Lordvader. Thanks man

im honored, lol, and its always good to hear a success story

and, and for anyone else afraid of soldering, you can use some electrical tape taround the point, so only the 2 points are exposed, that way if your hand slips or you drip some solder it goes on the tape, not the motherboard, even i still do it that way :)

I help people because I was once a newbie, thinking that there were 3 pairs of points on 1.2+ mobos, (if you search you can still find some of those posts lol). We all learn and in turn help others, I can only wait until the day when you guys will be fixing misinformation and helping people... so I can sit back and laugh at the stupid noobs lol. jk
