Creating Our Own 360 System
« on: May 21, 2006, 05:36:00 PM »

If we're having such a hard time modding the 360 then would it make any more sense to some of you to just make our own system that plays 360 games? Now of course we wouldnt spend millions on research to create a commerical product, but just take already existing parts and make a system out of them. Does it seem possible to anyone here that we could just "modify" a PC to allow it to play 360 games?

Errr...

What if we used primarly parts from the 360 but only replaced certain vital parts like the BIOS and such. (I have no idea how commerical companies flash a bios for the FIRST time but could we flash it like that?) We could make our own shitty security BIOS and such

No offense, but I don't think that this post will last too long. I am, however, interested in the idea of generating a different 360. But there is one problem, why build a new 360? You obviously already have a computer and a 360, so why bring them together? What would that accomplish?

No, not like a modchip or anything but like us PHSYICALLY taking out any piece that is involved in the 360 security process and PHSYICALLY putting in new unsecure parts.

this makes no sense and is seemingly impossible to do without the funds necessary.  Who knows how many millions of dollars m$ spent on research for the 360.

and yeah that does sound like a mod.

That's essentially what a modchip is. But instead of physically taking the part out (and in doing so, you could easily damage other parts), the modchip just bypasses the piece that is involved in the security and uses the hardware on the chip instead.

I think...

Get it?
