Can anyone tell me anything they did wrong with the first xbox? I can't think of any.

No out of the box DVD playback?  No FTP support? No MP3 support?  Not that a simple modchip didn't fix those things...

Are you nuts? The PS2 has just as many modchips as the Xbox and a bunch of fucking drama about the modchip makers. rolleyes.gif You should head over to ps2-scene.com in the near future and just utter the letters DMS and watch them have a flame day with you. Head over to ps2nfo.com and if you say HdLoader instead of HDAdvance(they are the same fucking thing) they will ban you. God rolleyes.gif Have I told you guys that I don't miss the PS2 scene drama at all? If I want drama I will watch Desperate Housewives  laugh.gif

You are right about the dvd playback, but what is FTP support? I would also like to comment on the mp3 playback. My out of the box xbox play burned cds, but it is the only one I have seen that does. Does anyone else have one that plays them?

It is so hard to fit a ps2 modchip though too hard to do for most.

FTP support:  The ability to send files to the Xbox or visversa via FTP.  My modded Xbox does this.
MP3 support: My XBox doesn't read burned discs really well. So the only songs I know of that it plays are WMA files.

Eh, it's not that important right now because I use XBMC to listen to my MP3's.  Thanks though.   cool.gif

QUOTE(whet1134 @ May 9 2005, 12:23 PM)
Just out of pure morbid curiousity, given that the current Mac G5's are larger than a standard ATX case, and use proprietary cooling on their dualcore G5s... how is MS going to fit 3 cores that clock 1000Mhz higher into a box as small as the PS2... and keep it cool at the same time?  Seriously.  Where is the heat going to dissipate to?  I'm not trying to disprove anything on this thread, I just want to know what viable options there are for cooling that setup.  Note: Liquid cooling is out.  So is electron-cooling.

The case will be air-conditioned.
