Connecting Xbox Via Internet With Someone Else

Hi , since im a newbie on xbox, i need to know if it is possible to connect my xbox with another xbox through internet so i can play games etc. Is it possible?

it sure is .. www.teamxlink.co.uk .. allows you to play any of the 62 supported system link games online with ppl from all over the world for free :]
