Hddhackr Won't Boot In Dos

2 questions:

What tutorial are you using?
Is your laptop/s chipset compatible with hddhackr?

I'd recommend trying tinkering with every storage-related setting in your BIOS to see if you can get your controller to be recognized.

If that doesn't work, I have another suggestion. Now, there's no guarantee this will work. I don't know what MODFREAKz changed as the builds went on. However, if the locations are the same in the file, go ahead and edit those last values, even if they aren't what the other post said. See if that works.

FWIW, I was able to start hddhackr v1.0 but had no idea if that would work with my hd so I just used my buddies desktop (v1.40) and it worked flawlessly. O well, got a major upgrade over my 20gb hd! Thanks.
