Hi,

my zephyr is already Jtagged but I've been getting a lot of E79 on startup.
i understand that changing the ROL point to Aud_clamp will solve the issue on Zephyrs.

Since i don't have access to the nand except Xellus and flash360 i am worried about screwing up.

here are the steps i did and planning to do. please correct if it's wrong:

- Backed up freeBOOT.bin from the console and extracted SMC from 360 Flash Tool 0.94.
- ran smc_io SMC_dec.bin SMC_output.bin - selected 3 for audclamp and then 2
- Entered my CPU key, Loaded the Freeboot.bin backup and Injected SMC_output.bin into freeBOOT.bin via "import" in 360 Flash Tool 0.94.
- use the new Freeboot.bin to flash the console using flash360
- after flash, shut down the console
- Change the wire from ROL to Aud_clamp


are these steps correct?
again, i'm quite a nood on JTAG issues and i'm scared of screwing up on not having to option to flash again without nandx or other methods.

All your steps are correct!

You may be wiser to use a tool like Easy Freeboot by Sneaky Peanut. You won't have to mess around with extracting smc's or anything like that. Mind you it is great that you understand the process!

And you might as well be upgrading to dash 13599 while you are at it.

I'll try easy freebot also. just in case.

BTW: if i screw up the flash, Xellus still remains right?
i mean, is there a case where i would not be able to flash the nand using a USB drive?

One last thing, it is just a matter of moving the wire from being soldered to the ROL and soldering it to the AUD_clamp?
no need to add other electrical components or changing other point?

Xellous will still remain as long as you don't mess up the smc so bad you can't figure out what wiring you used. If you use the tool i suggested it would be hard to screw it up.

And yes, all you need to do i move that one wire, i did one the other day and it was so easy.
