Be safe and do not do any updates from games.

1. Game updates / Title Updates just fix bugs in games.

2. you can not download game updates without connecting to live. And to connect to live will require updating the dash..

Where is this update anyway ? 22nd here in the UK and my dash is not wanting to update.

some games have the updates on the disk though, such as i just inserted portal 2, and it was asking me for a game update.

Updates that are on game disks are NOT game update but rather they are dashboard updates.

No games are out yet that has the new summer dashboard on them the flashes drives back to stock.

However this will change real soon.
