Disc Drive Won't Even Try To Read Discs

It can be one of the following:

a. You did a system firmware update that returned your drive back to stock firmware.
b. Your laser wore out and need replacement
c. The rubber belt that is responsible for the DVD tray has wore out and need replacement. That means the tray doesn't close properly and the DVD doesn't find the DVD media in right place to start reading it.
d. Your laser mechanism failed and need new drive replacement.

I put them in most likely order.
