Does it have any long filenames?  See if you can FTP it to the PC and back to the Xbox HDD.

Would seriously suck if your mod-chip is being detected, and thus causing the game to be unplayable.

I doubt it though....

Or you could disable the mod and play your original.  Anyway, even if this were the case, it would be patchable.

Ya dude, have you been in the scene long?  Wait 3 days or so.  If that.

I highly doubt it's detecting the mod.  Probably just a read error with your original.

If there were a read error wouldnt the file copy fail to hd?  Ive been in the scene since techtv aired thier first xbox special in feb or march.  I just dont post anywhere but this has got me upset.

It would depend on the tool used to back up the game.  Many DVD-to-HDD tools keep right on trucking when they hit read errors.  They just skip the file.  Use XBcopy (DVD2Xbox) as a diagnostic.  It looks like you tried that, and it wouldn't let you back it up.  This is indicative of a read error.

I tried dvd2xbox and it says cant find media flag and immediately quits.  It has to be a new media check.

No, I already checked...same old media check.  Besides, it wouldn't quit if it couldn't find a media check.  That makes no sense.
