I opened this file with notepad and edited some of the stuff from the tut at the top and now my game wont boot! I used the backed up and restored it but how come mine wont work. I am PAL btw if that amkeas a difference.

You have to edit it with a hex editor or the file will not be the same size there for will not boot.

If you're a using a Windows OS, these two are popular and have virtually identical features:
WinHex
by X-Ways Software Technology AG
Hex Workshop
by BreakPoint Software
I've used WinHex for years, and it works well for me. It also features rudimentary scripting for automating editing or analysis.

Hmm I usewd hex ediotr and everything was the mae file size yet it still crashed on boot!
