Been out of the modding game for a while, and have a two questions to ask.

QUESTION 1

I have a 360 Elite with a Liteon drive that has LT+ 3.0  on it from last year sometime.

I need to update my dash to use Live, and am presuming that LT+ 3.0 is still the latest version?

I will be looking to flash back to stock fw, do dash update then reflash to LT + 3.0.



QUESTION 2
With my Elite I used a hack to extract the Drive Key from the Liteon drive by cutting traces on the circuit board, soldering, using a resistor and a switch.

I didnt mind risking my machine in doing this as it was mine to break (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

My brother has a 360 (a fat version, not elite with Liteon drive), that her would like me to flash for him.

However I am a bit apprehensive of using the same DIY hack to extract the key.


I was wondering if there were any 'off the shelf kits' that make extracting the key easier now and saves me having to do trace cuts and soldering etc?



Any one help me out?

3.0 is fine, look up new pmt method, probing but no cutting.
