if your drive is still ejecting and laser moving and emitting laser beam etc then you have not damaged anything and have most likely had a corruption during flashing.

i have had it a few times also

simply reflash the fw and make sure that JF is able to verify the flash. if it fails to verify it may not be fully flashed correctly.

drive seems to function correctly but you get play dvd.

that is why nothing beats the good ol' extra pointy hot soldering iron technique when performing the kamikaze
