Running Retail "wave 4" Game On Ixtreme 1.6
« on: November 11, 2009, 09:13:00 AM »

I was reading about the recent bans and had a question about running a retail wave 4 game (CoD:MW2) on IXtreme 1.6.

1. Will it boot w/o an activation.iso
2. Any ban possibility since it's a legit game? ie Live?

Thanks, and sorry if the question seems stupid.

1. Will boot just fine without any activate.iso

2. If you play ANY backups online or offline you can and likely will get banned.

He meant playing a retail, not a backup. You will still get banned since all modded drives are now detectable, not the backups.

If it is true that MS can detect something about the hacked firmware then it might well be possible to get detected even if you play originals only.

So basically it has been said the you could flash your drive never play a backup (ya then why did you flash it) and still get baned.

You might want to stay offline and pray your not already tagged and wait for lite-touch firmware and pray some more that it works the way c4eva hopes it will.

Hmmm So perhaps I should buy another Xbox, keep it and keep it un-modded. Any models I need to stay way from? HDMI is a must.  It's been a long time since I bought hardware. Geeks com had some refurbs.

Can I swap hd's between boxes?

Thanks for the quick replies!
