Build a HDD using XboxHDM.
My old HDD is dead and wont work.
But i know the locking password to it.
I dont have a floppy drive so i cant use the lock/unlock from the floppy.
Is there a way i can hook up the HDD to my PC and lock it with the password so my box can use it?
I guess what im asking is that im pretty certain you can edit your Xbox's EEPROM by changing the lock password.
So what im asking is that if someone can use my password in ConfigMagic (I believe thats the program that does it) to edit their eeprom, and change their lock password to
(925acfdf74818cc30e7acb9e3db6bfb5eab949110)
Use a program to make a copy of the eeprom, and send it to me,
would this work?
and i am pretty certain you can do it.
I found this on a website...

We just Released Beta 2 of ConfigMagic.. and as you can see the biggest thing in this release is V1.1 support..
NEW FEATURES & FIXES:
1. XBOX V1.1 Support added !!!
2. We no longer have ANY need to supply the eeprom RC4 key with #define, we "look" for the RC4 key elsewhere during runtime
3. When the HDD is Locked, a Master password of TEAMASSEMBLY is used, so if you screw up you can recover your hdd !!
4. Corrected a speling mistake in the .cfg file.. was "VideMode", corrected to "VideoMode"
5. Now mostly using JPG images to save a little on the footprint..
CURRENT FEATURES: (V1.0 AND V1.1)
You can update your XBOX EEPROM in one of three ways
1. Using a valid EEPROM.BIN file
You can "build" a new eeprom image from a configuration file
Edit your current, loaded (.bin) or built (.cfg) eeprom data "On-The-Fly"
2. You Can Lock and Unlock your HDD with the password created from your XBOX EEPROM
3. You can create backup of your current eeprom, HDD password and various other settings.
4. Security features will not allow a "bad" eeprom update, or update eeprom if HDD is still locked..
FUTURE FEATURES:
1. Support to Live Edit Confounder
2. Add some background Music
3. support for converting V1.0 eeprom images to v1.1 and vice versa..
4. Dumping current configuration to a Text file
5. Save current configuration as a .CFG file..
ENJOY !!!!!
