Burning Files To Dvd Without Using Nero

Depends on what info you want on the disc, and what for.

The disc image just has to be a GDF ISO, which you can make with Qwix, Craxtion, or any other of the ISO tools from the xboxscene.com Tools section (just DON'T use the program called XISO).

That image can then be burned using ImgBurn, DVDDecrypter, whatever free tool you like.

NOTE: A plain old data disc will also read just fine provided you use quality media.

Making a GDF ISO is only needed for certain situations.

Nothing special needed for that.

Just burn them as data files to a plain jane disc.  XBMC will read them.

Burning Files To Dvd Without Using Nero

Hey that worked great! I used Qwix to create the iso of my avi files and burnt them using Deepburner.

However if I maybe a little bit pickie here ...

The cool part about burning using the xbox/udf option in Nero was that the contents of the DVD could be read through both my xbox AND my PC (using a program called Jet Storage UDF). Using the Qwix ISO method makes them only visible to my XBOX.

I know you can use QWIX to extract the ISO but I was hoping for a slightly more user friendly method.

Thanks for your help
Tarne

Actually I just realised something. Once you've burned the ISO onto a DVD then you can no longer access the contents from the DVD drive ...

So my question should really be how can I access XBOX DVDs from my PC drive?
