Anyone have any good methods on clearing up a cloudy jewel?  I removed the green with nail polish remover but it's really cloudy.

I tried cleaning it with a metal polish I have here by Silvo, rubbing alcohol and toohpaste, no luck with any of them

thx

would 2000 grit sandpaper clear it up, or make it cloudier?

use some high grit sandpaper to take off all the cloudiness. Then either use toothpaste or another polishing element to polish the jewel untill it's clear again.

Next time don't use acetone nail polish (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Turpentine works wonders on jewels.  I don't know if it would remove couldiness or not, but if you know where you can get some you could try it, it would be a lot less work than sanding.
