I know that when you sand down the end of a LED it make the output angle greater, instead of a small concentrated beam it is bigger.  If you know anything about this, how far can I cut down? I need to cut as shown in this picture (IMG:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/Cichlid_Guy981/Led.jpg) .  Will that be too far?

you can sand to there, itl be fine, just dont hit the metal thats when it stops working
