i saw a cd drive the other day that had leds that showed when you opened it to put a cd in,,, but i cant remember where it was and i searched and couldnt find anything,, does anyone know a tut on how to put leds in by your cd tray?? <

You bring the wires up on the bottom side of the tray, and drill holes through for the LEDs. <

I had 4 LEDs, to white shooting thru the CD and 2 blue aimed down

I drilled holes for the 3mm LEDs

The wiring... this was trick cause it actually would bind or get cought in the fan... lol but then again, my DVD rom was on the right hand side

So I told an old train set, ripped up the rails, and used them for + and - power, then crafted 2 "pickups" and mounted them to the tray itself, thus allowing the tray to slide along the power rails
