Some Questions About Modding.
« on: April 07, 2005, 04:32:00 AM »

Hello,

1. I read the tutorial on changing my LED light behind the eject button to any color, but it didn't say how to do it if I only wanted to, that is possible right? And which should be used there, 15 Degrees or 50 degrees lightspreadingradius?

2. In the jewel, what light spreading radius should I use? 15 or 50?

Thank you <

i dont get that question

For the eject button choose 25 or 30 degrees.

for the jewel 50 degrees would be best i think, but if you do like 10 leds it wont matter if you choose 15 that much. <

Thanks for the answers,
Now I have cleared the jewel, I just have to place the leds.
One question about that is: Will it hold up well with a gluegun? Because I can't seem to get the glue to sit tight, you can just rip it off without much power. Is that normal?
Sorry for all the dumb questions. <

Well, I was dumb enough to start glueing those LEDS, and when I had soldered the wires on, guess what? 3 of them fell of. I cant see how some people managed to glue the LEDS on to the xbox case with a glue gun. <

Sorry to post again about the jewel,
but atleast I didn't make a new thread :P

Anyone who knows how many cm(Centimeters) it is from the inside of the top part of the xbox to the hard-drives and all that stuff? (Like from the sides of the jewel)
I need to know how high my "LED- construction" can be.

Thank you,
Niklas

PS: I have tried measuring myself, but I couldn't get a measure.

It depends.  I know this probably can't be too good on the case, but even if it looks like it won't fit, push it down as hard as you can then flip it over and tighten the screws until it pulls the case down.  Its kind of hard to get a real measurement of that height, but I have about 1/2 inch of hot glue total over all the led's and I don't have too much of a problem getting the case on. <
