dose anyone know what i'm talking about ?? i sow a tut on a website somewere and i wanna do it i already shearched and fund nothing (also looked at the tuts on this site and fund nothing) anyone done this or have a link for me

ps the phone that goes inside the xbox dose it have to have a dieal tone (meaning do i have to add this phone to my cell phone plain??)

I remember reading about it but i dont have a link. The guy who made it lived in europe and had a pay as you go cell phone plan. It was set up to ring but not ever answer the call so he never had to pay any bill for it.

I dont know any pay as you go cell phone companies in the US but you could always do a pre-pay. The problem with that is I know for virgin you have to update your minutes every three months or they close your account. I think AT&T and T-mobile also have pre-pay phones though.

You could do this and not have to pay for two cell phones.

a couple of cells that do pay as u go im not sure if they are all still around but i know there was like at&t go, virgin moblie, boost mobile? or maybe im thinking of prepayed.

I remeber this, he had a pay as you go phone and the phone just rang, it was never answered so he didn't have to pay anything.

A little bit off topic but anyhoo. Im pretty sure there is programs for some of the more complicated phones with infaRed to act like a remote with the DVD dongle

the infared phones use (irda) is a diffrent standard than used for controlling tv's exc. i don't think that type of program is possible. besides, if you're look to put a phone in your box you probly arn't planing to use it to turn it on from across the room anyway .

chinese chicken, if you read three posts up you would have saw he didnt have to pay anything. and plus, how in the hell do you have 300 posts and have only been a member for 2 weeks? thats is like 25-30 post per day. my average is only like 0.7.
simple question for the creator of the thread, why woulld you want to use a phone when you can simply hardwire a button or use the doorbell trick? just a simple question, i guess for the "wow" factor.
