There are a lot of people out there who want to show off their sweet looking cases or other mods, but they just don't know how to resize and crop their pictures. So they either post gigantic pictures that take a year and a half for dial-up users to load, or they just don't post them at all.
What a shame...

Here is a step by step tutorial to resize and crop your digital camera pictures using MS Paint. If you have a Mac, go buy a PC and continue on with this tutorial.

This is the original picture - Warning to dial up users: The image is 570kb and may take a while to load.

STEP 1:
Open up your large image in MS Paint. Once open, press Ctrl+W. You will get a window like shown below. Enter in a number (anywhere from 20 to 50 depending on the resolution of your camera and the % of the size that you want it) for both "Horizontal" and "Vertical", and press OK.

STEP 2:
Press CTRL+A, then click and drag anywhere on the image and move it up to the left until you have cropped the desired amount off of the image on that side. Then position your mouse to the bottom right of the picture frame so that it turns into a double sided arrow for resizing, and click and drag up to the left until you have the desired amount cropped off of that side.

STEP 3:
SAVE, AND POST YOUR AWESOME MOD PICS!

Oops, sorry about that, my screen resolution is at 1280x1024 and I have a 5mb download Cable modem, so I wasn't sure if they were to big or not.

Ya I know, I figured that a lot of people didn't know how to do this, so I just slapped together a tutorial in a few mins.

BTW how do you like my freshly painted jewel? lol

thanks great detailed but i alway use photobucket to resize my pics or photoshop (but photoshop drains alot of power just to start so now i might start to do it using paint)

Ya photoshop is a pretty bulky and big processor whore to use for just resizing your pictures. Also, I'd recomend using the webspace your ISP provides you if they do, or any free web space hosting site that allows you to use ftp access to host your files. That way if you want to, you can change the images, delete them, and add them with ease. And not have to worry about whether the imgspot.com servers are down or whatever.

Tell me about it i have a 1.5ghz LAPTOP and when u are runnign off the battery u do notice it when u open photoshop

HAHA, ouch, ya i have a 1.8ghz pc w/ only 192mb ram, lmfao but im getting 2 sticks of 512 in the mail for only 95 bucks
