Yes, you can remove the ethernet port and replace it with another one, it's not easy though due to the wat the conponent is soldered in. It's harder getting one off *undamaged* than it is to get a memory chip off!
the A/V port is a bit eaier to get off though.
and.....yes, you can hardwire a wire directly in, all you need is a multimeter and a bit of intelligence.
'Buzz' each wire on the connector to see what point it connected to on the motherboard, then simply connect your wire to the motherboard! <
