replace the ethernet and audio/visual ports. I wouldnt be suprised if you couldnt as they look like they are fused to the mother board.

Let me know if this can be done.   <

Because I have a motherboard with a damged audio/visual and another mother board with the ethernet port damaged. I wanted to see if I could fix one or the other.  <

If you have an ethernet hub built in can/how can you hard wire your port into it?  <

.........................a port is there to enable easy removel / insertion of a cable

Yes, you can remove the ethernet port and replace it with another one, it's not easy though due to the wat the conponent is soldered in. It's harder getting one off *undamaged* than it is to get a memory chip off!

the A/V port is a bit eaier to get off though.

and.....yes, you can hardwire a wire directly in, all you need is a multimeter and a bit of intelligence.

'Buzz' each wire on the connector to see what point it connected to on the motherboard, then simply connect your wire to the motherboard!  <
