bought a second hand xbox which had a sticky dvd tray. so I went to open up the xbox. long story short I found that it had a modchip soldered to the board a DUOX2 FUJITSU. turn on the console with power button the console wont boot up gives the flashing red/green circle. when I press the eject button the console boots up. disconnect the chip the console boots up.

when you boot with the eject button I am guessing it is booting in an un-modded state?

The mod-chip might just be blank, or it could be a bad flash.

Gazcan, i recommend going through the help docs on XS to learn more about TSOP, hot swap, hot swapping a chip, original software, and modded/softmodded.
