I actually found the adapter I linked in my original post by using all the tips in that thread. Great read for sure. With so many different vendors supplying these generic green adapters I just want to make sure I'm getting one that is tried and true based on the experience from the community.

As an aside, someone suggested this adapter to me. It's more expensive, but from what I've read, the chipset is the best you can go with for the xbox application:
