Can You Help Me Id This Xbox Accessory?
« on: April 21, 2013, 04:30:00 AM »

Im looking at this listing for an xbox on a classifieds site and found this strange xbox with some sort of attachment, looks like a cooling base or something. Any idea what it is?

Seeing as the bottom of the xbox is solid, I highly doubt it's a cooling base.

I'd guess it's either a lead-acid battery, or a case for games/controllers/something.  The best way to find out, though, is to buy it and see.

No, it looks like a disk expansion unit. I can't find a link, but from memory it holds three additional disks, and you can switch between them - but only use one at a time. I think they were made by Intec - the people who made the portable screens for the Xbox.
