How To Unflash?

Holy piss I flashed with the eject fix instead of the actual bios on evox bios. What was I thinking!?!?!?


So how can I take of the eject fix and flash with the actual bios? It's really gay. but kinda funny looking on my box.  blink.gif

Try booting to the other bank and flash that with the correct bios, there if a way to fix your problem but i'm not sure how, I think you have to press and hold eject and power at the same time.

To flash the other bank: flip the switch when it asks for the disc.

what if I'm flashing by http?  I can do that right???   I flashed the one bnk improperly by http but i got the right file now so its alot btter dont worry about that.   But can I flash the other bank by http? (connection to my computer.)

Don't you mean FTP into your Xbox lol, errr now I am wondering whether you can do it via http no, no it's definently FTP you can't do it by http (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

well i said http cuz thats what the tutorial said  tongue.gif  lol   i enter an ip into my computer and it basically takes me to a page where i can flash the ip of my xbox. ftp   http... same mehtod basically lol

Okay I think I've succesfully fucked up both of my banks.

When I power up the xbox with the evox bios flashed into a bank. all it does it beep a few times, then flash green and red in my eject LED and show no video or audio things on my TV. Everything is hooked up on the TV fine.

This is a v1.0 Xbox and works fine when booting with the eject button, but does the above when I boot with the power button. I FTP'd the correct version bios and all of evox... so whats going on wit this thing???  uhh.gif

Not correct advice.

If both banks have  been misfalshed and will no longer boot thne you will have to hotswap the chip to flash it.

Hi all I just posted this else where but you seem to be talking roughly about the same thing ( sorry im a newbie to XBOX's and most of it is going over my head) i'm just hoping you have an answer to my problem please.

"Hi All I posted this on XBOX Media Centre and was told its not a media centre problem but a chip issue can anyone help.

My original post was

"Hi All im very new with Xboxes, however a freind upgraded my 2 week old xbox to XBMC 1.1.0 and it worked fine for one week however at the end of the week i turned it on and the CD would'nt open.

I pressed on and off still nothing and nothing on screen now i ger FRAG after 3 reboots and i have a black screen.

the shop i bought it from thinks i did something hes removed the chip and gave me the original Hard Drive which i have tried i still get the same even with everything disconnected i get the same.

Is there anyway back from this ?

the shop seem to think it's a new Mother board or nothing.

Please dont tell me that its knackered all help appreciated."

To add more light the shop i bought the xbox from says its a mobo issue that cant be recovered he has shown me the hard drive working in another machine but has "Told" me that the chip worked in another machine but i hav'nt seen it.

If there is any answer he said he will do the labour but wont replace the mobo.

Im realy desperate I don't have the money to replace the mobo so can anyone help thanks."
