Enclosures For Backing Up 360 Games
« on: March 06, 2007, 07:10:00 PM »

Hello,

My situation is such that I only have access to a laptop and not a PC. Therefore, in order to backup and burn xbox 360 games, I will need to purchase 2x 5.25" enclosures for the Reader and the Writer.

In order to backup the games I will be using the Samsung SH-D162 DVDROM and the Pioneer DVR-111D (i would post links to these, but i'm not sure if that's allowed).  I am looking at the Coolmax 5.25" Black Aluminum USB 2.0 External Drive Enclosure for the two drives (again, i would post a link but i'm not sure if that's allowed...all can be found on tigerdirect.ca).

Does anyone know if the coolmax enclosure will work well with the Samsung and the Pioneer drives? If not, can anyone suggest any enclosures that will work with these two drives?

Just as an aside: I already have an external DVD burner -
Memorex / 16x DVD±R Read / 16x DVD±R Burn / 4x DVD±RW / 4x DVD+R DL / 48x24x CD-R/RW / USB 2.0·Firewire / Black / External DVD Burner - Retail (can be found on tigerdirect.ca)

will this burner work with burning the backups?
