i have a few questions about this

1. are there any of them out there yet?

2. are there exploits to avoid it?

3. if not, are we working on a way?

1. Yes there are

2.Yes there is a file to trick your pspee into thinking it is a differnt version

3. it's already been answered.

Also you can downgrade now so really it's nop big deal if you upgrade then downgrade, although I am sure there is a number of times you can do it beofer you brick your pspee.

Its called "WAB version changer v2.0"  Go to www.wab.com and get it in the downloads section.   Just follow the instruction and it tricks your psp into thinking its a different version.  I have my 1.5 psp and used the version changer and now it thinks, and says, its a 2.00 in the system info but i am still able to load all the homebrew.

Thanks for the help with that.  I used the tool to make my PSP look like firmware 2.0.  Now I can play Burnout Legends and still have all my homebrew stuff too.  Thanks again.

Does the WAB version changer only have to be run once? And your PSPee keeps its settigns? Or everytime you want to trick your game into thinking you are running at v 2.0 firmware?

Yep.  Just follow the instructions.  Then you can go to settings, system information, and see that your psp says it is version 2.0.
