I actually have a moded xbox with Apple V chip ans i simply could not install the Thc version on my xbox y actually had to use Blackstorm dashboard.

Can someone help me with this issue, every time i tried to do it i simply got a stange blak ball when i started the xbox.

What is a Apple V chip? If you just throw everything into the root of c: and run thxdash.xbe, it should not have a problem.

Yep, throw everything into C: but check what *.xbe your BIOS boots - mine was set up to boot evoxdash.xbe from F: so I just renamed the thc default.xbe to that and placed it in F: (that's if you want to use it as your default dash)

I actually used the zxbinstaller disc i really can do the the dumping but in what i have seen is that the zxbinstaller reconfiures the xbox C

bios is thing that loads when xbox turned on

not to sound offencive or anything.

i guarantee the installer (or yr use of it) is the problem get a real copy, rename the xbe to whatever yr bios boots, set the paths in config, drop it all on c and reboot - it will work

Hmm, get a dashboard with a file manager like ux or avalaunch and go to the file manager and try to run the thc dash before you actually switch everything over just to verify that it is working correctly and it is what you actually want your main dash to be. It can be kind for some one who does not know a lot about what they are doing to change your default dashboard back since thc does not open up an FTP server nor does it have a file manager. And with an Apple V chip that I never heard of, I dont know how the bios works so that may also be out of the question is reconfiguring your bios to run a different dash. Also, I dont even know if that bios first looks in D:\Default.xbe because if it didnt, a boot disk would also be out of the question.

You guys are forgetting about one of the more common problems.

sigfried61, make sure your original M$ dashboard has a live tab. Otherwise it wont ever work.

I have not check out that the my xbox has not live tab.
