J Allard Wants Us To Mod 360?

J Allard said, " make xbox 360 yours, take it out of our hands, 360 was birthed by the xbox team at MS but your the ones who give it life?"

Looking at where this message came from, the ourcolony video, it makes me think that they are specifically talking to a community that was/is highly involved in the hacking and modification of the original xbox.  

With Allards comments and MSs stance or lack there of on chipping the original, it seems to me that they are ok with what we do.  They know that they wouldn't have sold nearly as many xboxes if they weren't hackable in the first generation, so why would they change it in the second. Granted, it may be harder and have more encryption, but with so many SMART gamers out there, it is only a matter of time before a rookie like myself can follow there tutorials and have a nice new modded 360.

Even when they started coming out with the revisions of the xbox, (v1.6) and made it slightly more difficult to chip, it was still possible. I think that it is a positive for MS.  They knew they were going to lose money on the xbox, but it will be different this time around.  They know they are going to make money out of the box.  

I believe that the 360 will be hackable, and although we still won't be able to play hacked games on live, that only makes it better.  We can still tinker and have fun with the xbox, but if we want to be on live, and most of us do, then we must still purchase the games.  

I can't wait to get this baby opened up!!

No he doesn't.

When he says that he means he wants you to be able to customize it but not mod, what I mean by this is, download dashboard themes, buy custom face plates, make your sample playlists, gamertags, get your music and movies and pics off home wireless etc.

That's what they mean when they say customization.

Yeah thats pretty much it. They want us to piss away money on stupid little enhancements random garbage. This will make the xbox 360 "ours"

the xbox 360 will be better, yes I know that the ps3 have some impressive stuff on the paper, but its what it can do in reallife thats matters... :D

and i really think sony has fucked it up this time with the ps3, i mean what the hell are they doing with that design <_< and, the controllers better change or they will seriously fuck up my hands each time i play it.

lol i swear i have seen those controllers in the aboriginy museum down here. GET IT, im from aus. AND the controller looks like a boomerang. hey , hey.and aboriginies use boomerangs. to kill stuff.

it also looks a bit like 2 dildos wit a controller in the middle  <_<

xbox 360 has game console controllers

ps3 has adult entertainment dildo controllers

It's geared more for the masses with these customizations. I have friends that change the faceplate on their cell phones regularly. It doesn't impress me...  PDZ is another animal altogether... drooling....
